Question:
I just purchased some hosting space on webhostingpad and I uploaded a picture in .bpm format into the public_html folder. But when I enter the url of my website, it says that it is still under construction. How do I make that picture visible?

Answer:

It sounds as if you are typing your domain name and expecting to see that image. That’s not how it works.

First, it shouldn’t be a .bpm format, it’s .bmp file. The image needs to be inserted into a web page. Sure, you can type http://example.com/yourpicture.bmp and it will display, but unless you insert that image into a webpage for provide a direct link to the image, no one will see it.

The reason you’re still getting the under construction page is because that’s the page that’s currently your home page. It needs to be deleted. Use the FileManager in your WebHostingPad control panel to delete it. Then you need to replace it with your home page. Name it index.html.

Also, in the control panel, look for the script installer. It’s called Softaculous. You can install a photo gallery on your site to display your pictures.
