What servers/hosting features does yahoo have — I need specifics about software versions?  Is there a page I can look at? The main “web hosting” page doesn’t give much info…I need things like what version of Perl, MySql databases etc?  Any insight? thanks!

Just get real web hosting and all that stuff will be available to you in an unlimited shared web hosting plan.  One of the best web hosting deals is from BlueHost.  If you’re asking about Perl, MySQL and PHP, you’re probably a techie sort of person.  BlueHost uses the cPanel control panel with SimpleScripts software installer, however BlueHost offers several things in the control panel that other web hosting plans don’t.  It’s geared towards web developers, but it doesn’t cost any more than any of the other top web hosting companies.
